ORDER ONE: THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, EAST HAMPSHIRE) (PARKING PLACES AND PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, WAITING, LOADING / UNLOADING AND CLEARWAY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012 (VARIATION NO. 27) ORDER 2024

AND

ORDER TWO: THE HAMPSHIRE (EAST HAMPSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL) (BORDON: VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2020 (VARIATION NO. 1) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Orders on Tuesday 15th July 2025, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 39, 53,122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDERS:

Order one will:

Insert the following items into Schedule 2 (no waiting at any time) of ‘The Hampshire (Various Roads, East Hampshire) (Parking Places and Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading / Unloading and Clearway) Consolidation Order 2012’:

Between its junction with Drift Road and a point 13 metres north-west thereof.

Between its junction with the access road to St Matthews Primary School and a point 10 metres south-west thereof.

Order two will:

Delete the following item from the third schedule (waiting prohibited between the hours of 8.30am and 9.30am and 2.30pm and 4.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive) of ‘East Hampshire District Council (Bordon: Various Roads) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2020’:

From a point 85 metres south-west of the centre-line of the junction with Bracken Lane in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 20 metres.

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 26th July 2025.

(Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 17.15; Fridays 8.30 – 16.45)

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 26th August 2025, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
