Welton Road, Brough (Part) Phases 2 & 3 - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For Carriageway Maintenance Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
WELTON ROAD, BROUGH (PART) PHASES 2 & 3
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Welton Road, Brough (between Moor Road roundabout and the entrance to Morrisons roundabout) commencing Monday 11 August 2025 until Friday 15 August 2025 (between 09.00 hours and 17.00 hours) and Welton Road, Brough (between Cave Road roundabout to War Memorial crossroads) commencing Monday 18 August 2025 until Friday 29 August 2025 (between 09.00 hours and 17.00 hours) to allow carriageway maintenance works to be carried out.
The road closures are necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given time.
The alternative route for traffc affected by the road closure will be via:
For the closure dated: 11 August 2025 - 15 August 2025 - for the north from Moor Road roundabout go north to the new roundabout and Welton Low Road, west on Welton Low Road to Main Street/Elloughton Road and vice versa.
For the south from Moor Road roundabout, south on Moor Road to the south and west on Baffn Way and north on Skillings Lane and vice versa.
For the closure dated: 18 August 2025 - 29 August 2025 - For the north of the village go north on Cave Road to Stockbridge Road. East on Stockbridge Road to Main Street/ Elloughton Road and vice versa.
South on Station Road to the south and east on Saltsground Road and north on Skillings Lane and vice versa.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will remain open for pedestrians, residents access and emergency services only.
