What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000143987102: The City of Manchester (River Street & Rachel Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary No waiting and No Loading) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicles from parking on River Street and Rachel Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate adjacent development. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 28th July 2025 to 28th July 2026. The order shall come into operation on 28th July 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC143942064: The City of Manchester (Bingley Close, Ancoats & Beswick Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bingley Close from its junction with Blackrock Street to its Cul de sac end. The alternative routes for traffic will be:N/A). The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway reconstruction works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 28th July 2025 to 1st August 2025. The order shall come into operation on 28th July 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
