Clive Street, North Shields - Temporary Restriction Of Traffic For Gas Mains Replacement

What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE
CLIVE STREET, NORTH SHIELDS
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Clive Street from the junction with Bedford Street to the entrance of Dolphin Quays.

An alternate route is available via Liddell Street, Bell Street, Union Quay, Union Road, Brewhouse Bank, Bird Street, Charlotte Street, Saville Street, Saville Street West, Borough Road, Clive Street and in reverse order.

The temporary Order is required for gas mains replacement and will come into force on 4 August 2025 for a period not exceeding 19 days.
