What is happening?

Salford City Council made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The title and effect of the Order is as follows; City Of Salford (Monton Road And Rocky Lane) (Prohibition Of Waiting, No Loading/Unloading And (Amendment) Order 2025. The Order will introduce the following restrictions. No Waiting At Any Time on: Rocky Ln - Both sides, from a point 15 m south from the southern extended kerbline of Chorlton Fold to Monton Green. Monton Green - Both sides, from Rocky Lane to a point 15 meters south west of the south western extended kerbline of Egerton Road. Park Rd - Both sides, from its junction with B5231 Monton Green for a distance of 30 metres in a south easterly direction. No Loading/Unloading Monday to Sunday 7.30AM - 9.30AM And 4.00PM - 6.30PM on: Monton Rd - Both sides, from Rocky Lane to a point 15 meters south west of the south western extended kerbline of Egerton Road. Existing Orders have been amended to be consistent with the proposals. The Order will come into operation on the 17th July 2025. 

A copy of the Order and plan will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Rd, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm to Fri inclusive. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested at phlegal@manchester. gov.uk or by writing to Fiona Ledden, City Solicitor PO BOX 532, Town Hall, Manchester M60 2LA quoting reference L/GS/SCC006/01266. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from 15th July 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
