1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Southern Gas Networks to undertake a new connection outside 91 to 101 Ballast Wharf, West Street, Erith, it intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

• Prohibition of traffic on West Street, Erith – Ballast Wharf, 91 – 101 West Street, Erith

• Cycle Lane suspension outside The Ship, Public House.

2. The Order will come into effect on 31 July 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 8 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

Travelling Northwest on West Street, Erith

Lower Road, Bronze Age Way, Walnut Tree Road, West Street

Travelling Northeast on West Street, Erith

Erith High Street, Bexley Road, Bronze Age Way, Lower Road, West Street

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable JDT Utilities Ltd on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:

• Prohibition of traffic on Elsa Road, Welling from the junction of Gipsy Road, Welling to the junction with Upper Wickham Lane, Welling.

• Prohibition of traffic on Holmesdale Road at the junction with Gipsy Road, Welling

• Prohibition of traffic on Holmesdale Road at the junction with Gipsy Road, Welling

• Banned Turning Movement from Gipsy Road, Welling into Holmesdale Road, Welling

• Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Elsa Road, Welling from the junction with the junction with Upper Wickham Lane, Welling and on Upper Wickham Lane at the junction with Elsa Road, Welling.

Restriction to be removed when not required.

2. The Order will come into effect on 25 July 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

Elsa Road, junction of Upper Wickham Lane, Welling

Kenmere Road, Balliol Road, Upper Wickham Road, and vice versa

Upper Wickham Road, Berwick Road, Teignmouth Road

Elsa Road, junction Gipsy Road, Welling

Gipsy Road, Fairlawn Avenue, Brampton Road, and reverse.

Gipsy Road, Normanhurst Avenue, Winchester Road, and reverse.

Holmesdale Road, Welling

Gipsy Road Fairlawn Avenue, Brampton Road, and reverse

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Cumberland Drive at the junction with Long Lane, Bexleyheath

• Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Little Heath Road at the junction with Cumberland Drive, Bexleyheath

• No waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) as detailed in Schedule One of this order

2. The Order will come into effect on 24 July 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via,

• Cumberland Drive, King Harold's Way, Brampton Road, Crook Log, Avenue Road, Pickford Lane and reverse

• Long Lane, Erith Road, Mayplace Road West, Arnsberg Way, Broadway, Avenue Road, Pickford Lane and reverse

• Localised diversions to be signposted as and when required

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

• Waiting restriction in Hartslock Drive, Thamesmead on the side nearest to Southmere Park from the junction with Yarnton Way to Southmere Square, Thamesmead and from 10 to 26 Hartslock Drive, Thamesmead to allow for the provision of disabled parking

• Loading prohibition in Hartslock Drive, Thamesmead on the side nearest to Southmere Park from the junction with Yarnton Way to Southmere Square, Thamesmead and from 10 to 26 Hartslock Drive, Thamesmead to allow for the provision of disabled parking

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

Steynton Avenue, Cransbrook Avenue, Hurst Road, and reverse. However, access is to be maintained via Steynton Avenue for residents.
