Crossland Road, Chorlton Ward - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Carriageway Resurfacing

What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
 TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC144336030: The City of Manchester (Crossland Road, Chorlton Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Crossland Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Chorlton Green, Beech Road, Neale Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 28th July 2025 to the 15th August 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 28th July 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC000142572063: The City of Manchester (York Street & Charles Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Suspension of Parking & Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to York Street for its full length and Charles Street at its junction with York Street. The Council is satisfied that the suspension and closure are necessary in order to facilitate adjacent development works. It is expected that the work will be in progress between 26th July 2025 and 28th February 2026. The Order shall come into operation on 26th July 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
