Berry Close - Prohibition All Vehicular Traffic For Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(BERRY CLOSE) TEMPORARY TRAFFICREGULATION ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 17 July2025 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Berry Close for its entire length.
2. There is no alternative route for traffic.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles and personnel engaged in the said works and police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles and personnel on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 5 August2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 10August 2026 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
