Bilston - Various Speed Limits & Traffic Calming Measures
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wolverhampton City Council proposes to make the following Order under Section 84 of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is as follows:
1. THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (BILSTON) (MOSELEY PARK ACADEMY) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
No person shall drive any vehicle with a maximum speed exceeding 20 miles per hour on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule below:

1. Alexandra Place From its junction with Mountford Lane for the entirety of Alexandra Place
2. Angela Place From its junction with Mountford Lane for the entirety of Angela Place
3. Birchdale From its junction with Cumberland Road and Rutland Crescent for the entirety of Birchdale
4. Central Avenue From its junction with Mountford Lane for the entirety of the eastern and western legs of Central Avenue
5. Cumberland Road From its junction with Prouds Lane up to its junction with Central Avenue for the entirety of Cumberland Road
6. Grafton Place From its junction with Central Avenue for the entirety of Grafton Place
7. Holland Road From its junction with Central Avenue up to its junction with Bunkers Hill Lane for the entirety of Holland Road
8. Langdale Drive From its junction with Cumberland Road for the entirety of Langdale Drive
9. Lansdowne Road (Stowlawn) From its junction with Central Avenue up to its junction with Bunkers Hill Lane Road for the entirety of Lansdowne Road
10. Mountford Lane From a point at No 47 Mountford Lane up to the junction with Central Avenue northern and southern side of Mountford Lane
11. Nightingale Place From its junction with Mountford Lane for the entirety of Nightingale Place
12. Peascroft Lane From its junction with Mountford Lane for the entirety of Peascroft Lane
13. Rutland Crescent From its junction with Birchdale and Central Avenue for the entirety of Rutland Crescent
14. Springfield Road (Stowlawn) From its junction with Central Avenue and Lansdowne Road for the entirety of Springfield Road
Under the provisions of the Highways Act 1980 as amended by the Road Traffic Act 1991 the Wolverhampton City Council also proposes to install Traffic Calming Measures as follows:
2. THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (CUMBERLAND ROAD, HOLLAND ROAD AND CENTRAL AVENUE) PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES
The Council proposes to introduce traffic calming measures under the provisions of the Highways Act 1980 section 90A-F as amended by the Road Traffic Act 1991 and all other enabling powers, as follows:

Location
Cumberland Road - 5 sets of raised tables From its junction with Prouds Lane 7 through to its junction with Central Avenue.
Holland Road 3 sets of raised tables Including 2 with build out From its - junction with Central Avenue to its Junction with Bunkers Hill Lane.
Central Avenue - 2 sets of road humps on the eastern and western legs of Central Avenue.

Any objection(s) to the proposed Order or the implementation of traffic calming measures should be made in writing to the undersigned by 15 August 2025 stating the ground(s) for the objection(s).
