NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CROOKED LANE AND TITHEBARN STREET, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY) (REVOCATION, PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING, LIMITED WAITING AND DISABLED PARKING) ORDER 202*



NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (Preston City Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2009" insofar as it relates to Item (119) of Schedule 10.01.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (Tithebarn Street Area, Preston, Preston City) (Revocation and Various Parking Restrictions) Order 2022" insofar as it relates to:
i. Item h) of Schedule 2;
ii. Items d) and k) of Schedule 3.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Crooked Lane, Preston, the north side, from its junction with the Centreline of Lancaster Road to its junction with the Centreline of Tithebarn Street;
b) Crooked Lane, Preston, the south side, from a point 74.5 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Lancaster Road to its junction with the Centreline of Tithebarn Street;
c) Crooked Lane, Preston, the south side, from its junction with the Centreline of Lancaster Road for a distance of 45.5 metres in an easterly direction;
d) Tithebarn Street, Preston, the west side, from a point 24.5 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Crooked Lane to its junction with the Centreline of Lord Street;
e) Tithebarn Street, Preston, the west side, from a point 9.5 metres north of its junction with the Centreline of Crooked Lane for a distance of 22.5 metres in a southerly direction.
3. Introduce a prohibition of loading in the following lengths of road:
a) Crooked Lane, Preston, the north side, from its junction with the Centreline of Lancaster Road to its junction with the Centreline of Tithebarn Street;
b) Crooked Lane, Preston, the south side, from a point 74.5 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Lancaster Road to its junction with the Centreline of Tithebarn Street;
c) Crooked Lane, Preston, the south side, from its junction with the Centreline of Lancaster Road for a distance of 45.5 metres in an easterly direction;
d) Tithebarn Street, Preston, the west side, from a point 24.5 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Crooked Lane to its junction with the Centreline of Lord Street;
e) Tithebarn Street, Preston, the west side, from a point 9.5 metres north of its junction with the Centreline of Crooked Lane for a distance of 22.5 metres in a southerly direction.
4. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 30 minutes with no return within 3 hours in Crooked Lane, Preston, the south side, from a point 45.5 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Lancaster Road for a distance of 29 metres in an easterly direction.
5. Introduce a disabled persons parking place in Tithebarn Street, Preston, the west side, from a point 13 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Crooked Lane for a distance of 11.5 metres in a southerly direction.

A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Preston City Council, PO Box 10, Town Hall, Lancaster Road, Preston, PR1 2RL and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
