St Marys Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (St Marys Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.125) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 28th July 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
ST MARYS ROAD (EASTBOUND)
From its junction with Fratton Road and Fourth Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 28th July 2025 to 8th September 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Fratton Road, New Road, Copnor Road, Milton Road, St Marys Road Roundabout, St Marys Road and Fratton Road, Goldsmith Avenue, Fratton Way, Rodney Road, Milton Road, St Marys Road Roundabout, St Marys Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
