City Council Notices
Temporary Traffic Arrangements Glendower Avenue, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Glendower Avenue from its junction with Whoberley Avenue to its junction with Brookside Avenue.
The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 29th July 2025 and is required for allow Severn Trent water pipe installation works on the highway to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 23:59 hours on Thursday 31st July 2025.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversions for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works
(d) local vehicular access
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Parking And Traffic Arrangements Blackwell Road, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Blackwell Road for its entire length unless otherwise specified.
The Order will come into effect from 07:00 hours on Friday 25th July 2025 and is required for allow road lining and associated works on the highway to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 23:59 hours on Friday 25th July 2025.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversions for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works
(d) local vehicular access to Blackwell Road.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Days Lane, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Days Lane for its full length (cul-de-sac).
The Order will come into effect on 00.01 hours on Wednesday 30th July 2025 and is required to allow a new electric supply to be installed on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Tuesday 5th August 2025.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to Days Lane
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Clifford Bridge Road
Cycle Way Scheme
Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made a temporary Order the effect of which would be to implement a number of on street temporary restrictions in two phases as set out in the Schedule below.
The Order will come into effect at 00.01 hours on 28th July 2025 and is required to enable works to construct the Clifford Bridge Road Cycle Way to be carried out and completed safely.
The Order will remain in effect for a maximum duration of 18 months to allow for unexpected events or until the said works are completed. It is expected the works will be completed by 27th May 2026 and at that point the Order will lapse.
Exemptions to the Order will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access
Diversion routes will be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works are being carried out directly in front of a property.
In the event the Phase 1 works are completed ahead of schedule the Council reserves the right to commence the Phase 2 works ahead of the date below.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The Schedule
Phase 1 – 28th July 2025 to 16th October 2025.
Footpath closure
A closure of Footpath Clifford Bridge Road from River Stowe to Belgrave Road for its full length, south of its meeting point with Footpath Keswick Walk Side of No. 29 and No. 37 (Keswick Walk)
Phase 2 – 16th October 2025 to 27th of May 2026.
Road Closure
The southbound carriageway of Clifford Bridge Road commencing at its junction with Clifford Bridge Road link to A46 and continuing to it’s junction with Brinklow Road.
Lengths of road requiring individual closures as works progress along Clifford Bridge Road.
• Gainford Rise, from Clifford Bridge Road to Faygate Close.
• Portree Avenue junction with Clifford Bridge Road.
• Bridgeacre Gardens from Fieldside Lane to Clifford Bridge Road.
• Bridgeacre Gardens from Clifford Bridge Road to Colebrook Close.
These closures will be activated by on site signage as required.
Prohibited vehicle movements onto Clifford Bridge Road.
• No right turn from Bridgeacre Gardens
• No right turn from Mill Lane
• No left turn from Gainford Rise
• No left turn from Portree Avenue
• No left turn from Coombe Park Road
These restrictions will be activated by on site signage as required
Temporary Parking & Traffic Arrangements Moat Avenue Wainbody Avenue South And Kenpas Highway Service Road, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to implement restrictions on parts of Moat Avenue, Wainbody Avenue South and Kenpas Highway Service Road as follows:
Phase 1 – 28 July 2025 to 8 August 2025
a. prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Moat Avenue from its junction with Kenpas Highway to its junction with Medland Avenue, when prescribed signs are displayed;
Phase 2 – 11 August 2025 to 22 August 2025
a. prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Wainbody Avenue South from the junction of Kenpas Highway for then approximately 100m south of the junction, when prescribed signs are displayed;
b. prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Kenpas Highway Service Road from its junction with Wainbody Avenue South to its junction with Kenpas Highway when prescribed signs are displayed;
Phase 3 – 1 September 2025 to 12 September 2025
a. prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Wainbody Avenue North from its junction with Kenpas Highway to its junction with Green Lane when prescribed signs are displayed.
The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Monday, 28 July 2025 and is required to enable gas mains replacement and associated works on Moat Avenue, Wainbody Avenue South and Kenpas Highway Service Road to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 12 September 2025.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Moat Avenue, Wainbody Avenue South and Kenpas Highway Service Road.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Parking & Traffic Arrangements Lowfield Road, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Lowfield Road from its junction with Loch Street to its junction with Knotting Way.
The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Friday, 1 August 2025 and is required to enable water access chamber cover repair and associated works on Lowfield Road to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 1 August 2025.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Friday, 1 August 2025 and is required to enable water access chamber cover repair and associated works on Strathmore Avenue to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 1 August 2025.

City Of Coventry (Citywide)
(Permitted Parking Area And Special Parking Area) (Designation, Waiting Restrictions, Loading Restrictions, Loading Areas And Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2016 – (Variation 13) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) which will come into operation on 25 July 2025.
The effect of this Order shall be to:
i) Add, vary or amend waiting restrictions on certain lengths of the following roads:-
Acorn Street, Bedford Street, Bennett’s Road South, Burlington Road, Charter Avenue, Chelveston Road, Cossington Road, Deerdale Way, Derwent Road, Donningtion Avenue, Dutton Road, Eagle Street East, The Firs, Gardenia Drive, Grange Avenue, Greycoat Road, Harnall Lane East, The Headlands, High Street, Holyhead Road, John Rous Avenue, Kingsway, Lincroft Crescent, London Road, Mill Street, Nicholls Street, Northumberland Road, Penarth Grove, Prior Deram Walk, Rylston Avenue, Stirling Close, Stoke Row, Swan Lane, Westmorland Road, Wingrave Close
ii) Introduce the following Residents’ Permit Parking Schemes:-
Conway Avenue – All properties in Conway Avenue eligible to apply for Zone CY Parking Permits.
Properties no. 12 Duggins Lane and no. 9 Tanners Lane eligible to apply for Parking Permits
Elizabeth Way – All properties in Elizabeth Way eligible to apply for Zone EL Parking Permits
Hathaway Road – All properties in Hathaway Road eligible to apply for Zone EL Parking Permits
St Paul’s Road – All properties in St Paul’s Road eligible to apply for Zone EL Parking Permits
iii) Extend the existing residents’ permit parking schemes
Zone SW – to include Church Street
The proposal to introduce a ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restriction for Broadlands Close, as shown in Map Tile L25, has been abandoned.
The proposal to revoke the waiting restrictions on The Arboretum, Cassandra Close, Heritage Court, Moreall Meadows and Poppyfield Court and introduce new ‘No Waiting’ restrictions, as shown in Map Tiles L35, M35 and M36 has been abandoned.

City Of Coventry (Fenton Road) (Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) which will come into operation on Friday, 25 July 2025.
The effect of this Order shall be to prohibit Motor Vehicles (except for access) being driven into and along Fenton Road and is required to reduce the volume of traffic and the anti-social behaviour associated with employees accessing adjacent commercial properties.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Sandpits Lane commencing from its junction with Bennetts Road South and continuing to its junction with Tamworth Road.
The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Tuesday 5th August 2025 and is required to install a new water connection on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 7th August 2025.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
