NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is:

St Ives Road, Somersham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1247

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along St Ives Road, Somersham as lies between Cuckoo Bridge Nursery & B1086. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040; B1089; B1086 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications duct installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 18/8/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 17/2/27 whichever is the earlier. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water service connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/8/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/2/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4/8/25 & 8/8/25.

Various Roads, West Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic; Temporary Revocation Of [7.5] Tonne Weight Limit & Temporary 30mph Speed Limit – Order 2025-1414

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Also, Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedules 1 & 2. The alternative routes are shown in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate roundabout crossing installation, speed limit reduction & footway improvements & associated works. During the period this Order remains in force CCC (Godmanchester & Huntingdon Zone) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1988, is hereby suspended insofar as it affects Hartford Road (B1514), Huntingdon. The proposed Order will come into operation on 4/8/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 3/2/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedules. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service and Ambulance Service while using such Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
