OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BANBURY AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) (NO.2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that on 21 July 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 28 July corrects an administrative error within the previously made town-wide speed limit order (implemented as part of the Countywide 20mph programme) which incorrectly scheduled some roads as having a 20mph speed limit, as opposed to retaining its 30mph speed limit.
The 30mph speed limit schedule therefore now includes the following lengths of road as subject to a 30mph speed limit: 1. Castle Street – from its junction with the A361 Southam Road/A361 North Bar Street & B4100 Warwick Road, eastwards for its entire length and,
2. Cherwell Drive – from its junction with the A422 Concorde Avenue, westwards for its entire length.
The installed speed limit signs remain unaffected by this amendment.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Banbury Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2025 is revoked/replaced.
