What is happening?

BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL

(A329 BERKSHIRE WAY, BRACKNELL) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from travelling along:

a) A329 Berkshire Way, Bracknell in both directions between the Twin Bridges Roundabout and Jennetts Park Roundabout.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by this closure in the Westbound direction will be Twin Bridges Roundabout, A3095 Mill Lane, Ellesfield Avenue, Peacock Lane, Vigar Way, A329 Berkshire Way and this route reversed.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by this closure in the Eastbound direction will be Vigar Way, Peacock Lane, Ellesfield Avenue, A3095 Mill Lane and Twin Bridges Roundabout.

The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while the Highway Authority carry out essential maintenance in the carriageway.

The proposed Order will come into operation on the 5th August 2025, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place between 5th August 2025 at 20:00 until 6th August 2025 at 06:00. This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
