What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

STATION LANE, KIRBY BELLARS
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 23/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 1 week. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Network Rail to undertake level crossing maintenance. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Station Ln, Main Rd, Leicester Rd, Kirby Bellars; Leicester Rd A607, Wilton Rd A607, Asfordby Rd, Melton Mowbray; A6006, Main Rd, Main St, Asfordby; Station Ln, Kirby Bellars & vice versa.

SCALFORD ROAD, EASTWELL
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 24/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake carriageway repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Waltham Rd, Eastwell; Waltham Ln, Stathern Ln, Harby; Harby Rd, Harby Long Ln, Stathern; Long Ln, Redmile; Belvoir Rd, Bottesford; A52 from Bottesford to Bingham, A46, A606 via Upper/Nether Broughton; Clawson Rd, Ab Kettleby; Clawson Ln, Eastwell Rd, Scalford Rd, Eastwell & vice versa.

COSTON ROAD, SPROXTON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 18/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 1 week. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days to allow National Grid to carry out work to provide a new service connection. The proposed diversion route will be via: Coston Rd, Buckminster Rd, Sproxton; Sproxton Rd, Coston Rd B676, Buckminster; Sproxton Rd, Coston, Coston Rd, Sproxton & vice versa.

GADDESBY LANE, ROTHERBY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 28/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 1 month. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highway drainage repair works. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Main St, Rotherby Top, Leicester Rd A607, Rotherby & vice versa.

ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 28/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 months to allow Lagan Homes Ltd to undertake development & archaeological works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

Footpath G33 closed from the Jct with Chapel Ln up to the extents of the access into The Grange farm. Footpath G26 closed from the footpath entrance located on The Grange farm entrance access due Southwest up to grid ref SK 73899 29674.

NEWBOLD LANE SOMERBY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 29/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway surface repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: From Newbold Ln to District Boundary Owtson; Newbold Ln Newbold; Newbold Ln, Main St, Somerby Rd, Burrough On The Hill; Burrough Rd, Newbold Ln Somerby.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 days to allow Network Rail to undertake level crossing maintenance. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Station Ln, Main Rd, Leicester Rd, Kirby Bellars; Leicester Rd A607, Wilton Rd A607, Asfordby Rd, Melton Mowbray; A6006, Main Rd, Main St, Asfordby; Station Ln, Kirby Bellars & vice versa.
