A12 Trunk Road - Temporary 50 Miles Per Hour Speed Restriction For Carriageway Resurfacing Works

THE A12 TRUNK ROAD (JUNCTION 29 CROWN INTERCHANGE, ESSEX) (SOUTHBOUND)
(TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A12 Trunk Road in the County of Essex to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated works to be carried out in safety.
The works will take place over approximately 10 nights (9pm to 5am), starting on, or after, Monday 4 August 2025.
The effect of the Order will be to impose, for 24 hours daily, a temporary speed limit of 50 miles per hour on the southbound carriageway of the A12 from 200 metres north of the exit slip road at Junction 29 Crown Interchange to the entry slip road at Junction 29 Crown Interchange.
The temporary speed limit (which will not apply to emergency service or special forces vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order will come into force on 28 July 2025 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months whichever is the earlier.
