NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road Roxton from from outside Roxton Garden centre to A1.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate junction improvements for the new A428 dual carriageway and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 1st August 2025 to 31t January 2027

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Roxton Road, Bedford Road, New Road, Bedford Road Service Road, St Neots Road, A421 J A428 Join Ne, A421 Eb From Renhold Junction To A1 Black Cat Roundabout, A421 Through J A428 Ne, A421 From J A428 To A1 J A421roundabout Ne, A421 From A1 J A421 roundabout To J A428 Sw, A421 Wb From A1 Black Cat Roundabout To Renhold Junction.

BEDFORD ROAD, ROXTON 25 – 064

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council has made an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along that length Bedford Road, Roxton at a speed exceeding of 40 mph.

This temporary 40 mph speed restriction is required for safety of the public and workforce for junction improvements for the new A428 dual carriageway and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary 40 mph speed restriction is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 1st August 2025 to 31st January 2027

The Order will come into operation on 1st August 2025 for a period of eighteen months months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. This temporary road closure is required to repair fire hydrant repair and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 17:00 hours from 5th August 2025 to 7th August 2025
