What is happening?
WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
(WESTWOOD WAY & OAK GROVE, WESTON FAVELL) (NORTHAMPTON)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council has made an Order under Section 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour along those lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to the Order and detailed below.
A COPY of the Order may be inspected at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northants, NN6 9BX by appointment only. Please call 01604 529700 to arrange. A copy of the Order can also be obtained on request by emailing WNCParkingenquiries@kier.co.uk
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with, you may apply to the High Court within six weeks from the date of this Notice.
The Order will become effective on 28th July 2025.
