NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow the Boomtown Fair 2025 to take place on the Saturday 4?? August 2025 – Monday 12?? August 2025.

A31 Alresford Road, Winchester (Eastbound Lay-by, Morn Hill) for its entire length on Tuesday 5?? August 2025 at 22:00 until Monday 11?? August 2025 at 19:00.

A272 Spitfire Link, Winchester between its junction with A31 Petersfield Road and its junction with the M3 junction 9 interchange. Monday 11?? August 2025 (09:00-18:00).
B3046 Alresford Road, Winchester between its junction with A272 Petersfield Road and its junction with Westfield Road. Monday 11?? August 2025 (08:00-17:00).
TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION – To impose a 40-mph temporary speed restriction on the following road:
A31 Alresford Road, Winchester between its junction with Petersfield Road and Chapel Lane and its junction with Alresford Bypass and B3047 Winchester Road. (05/08/25 at 09:00 until 12/08/25 at 05:00)
A272 Petersfield Road, Winchester between its junction with Alresford Road and to a point 600 metres Southeast of Rodfield Lane. (04/08/25 at 06:00 until 12/08/25 at 05:00)
Duration of the order: on Saturday 4?? August 2025 for 6 months or until the event has ended, whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the event will be taking place for no longer than 9 days, the restrictions will be in place for the dates and times specified above).
The Road Closures and Speed Limit Restrictions has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate the event for Boomtown Fair 2025. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order please contact:
