Victoria Road - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate Gas Mains Renewal
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
VICTORIA ROAD, DRAYCOTT
WHEN: 11 August to 18 August 2025
WHERE: Victoria Road, Draycott between the Jct. of Sawley Road and the Jct. of Victoria Avenue. Closure will not be active at the same time as the closure on Station Road.
REASON: To facilitate gas mains renewal.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Victoria Road, Derby Road, Draycott Road, Nottingham Road, Longmoor Lane, Longmoor Road, Petersham Road, Wilsthorpe Road, Main Street, The Green, Station Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
