Townsend - Temporary Closure To Pole Replacement And Reconductoring Works

Temporary Closure of Townsend

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Townsend- from the junction with Bay Hill, south-eastwards for a distance of 622 metres.

This Order will enable Network Plus and Adam C Taylor Ltd to carry out pole replacement and reconductoring works on behalf of National Grid.

The Order becomes effective on 24th July 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 30th July 2025 and last until 6th August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 8 days.
