NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to formalise the existing bus stop on the western side of Old Shoreham Road in Shoreham-By-Sea approximately 300m south of its junction with Upper Shoreham Road. The restriction applied to the bus stop will be to prohibit stopping by any vehicles other than buses between 0700 and 1900 on any day.

The Order also prohibits waiting at any time either side of the formalised bus stop.

A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 28 July 2025, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the West Sussex County Council website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 30 September 2021, apply to the High Court for this purpose.                                            Ref: ADR8023-MM
