ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
(SCAMMONDEN ROAD, BARKISLAND)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Scammonden Road from its junction with Saddleworth Road to Greetland Road for a distance of approximately 485 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Saddleworth Road, Rishworth Road, Stainland Road, Greetland Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 8th August 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00.
(HIGHFIELD AVENUE, BAILIFF BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Sapphire Utility Services Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Highfield Avenue from its junction with Bradford Road for a distance of approximately 24 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Bradford Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 17th August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(MERRION STREET, SOUTHOWRAM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by OCU Group have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Merrion Street from its junction with Bank Top for a distance of approximately 15 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative route available. Access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 8th August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(SOWERBY CROFT LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Sowerby Croft Lane from its junction with Spark House Lane to Boggart Lane for a distance of approximately 230 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Scar Head Road, A58, B6113, Scammonden Road, Moor Bottom Road, Shaw Lane, unaffected part of Sowerby Croft Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 1st August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(THORNHILLS LANE, CLIFTON)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Thornhills Lane from its junction with Jay House Lane to No. 44 for a distance of approximately 800 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Jay House Lane, Clifton Common and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 29th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 16:00.
(BANKS END ROAD, ELLAND)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Rapid Response Telecoms have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Banks End Road from No. 19 to No. 32 for a distance of approximately 75 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative route available – access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 30th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 1st August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(BLUE BALL ROAD, RIPPONDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Blue Ball Road from No. 1 to its junction with Coal Gate Road for a distance of approximately 45 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Ripponden Old Road, Rochdale Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 30th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 30th July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00.
(MARK LANE, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Dutton TM have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Mark Lane from No. 46 to Cowhurst Avenue for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Cowhurst Avenue, Oak Avenue, Ashenhurst Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 30th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 30th July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:30 & 17:00.
(BRIGGATE, BRIGHOUSE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Briggate from its junction with Bridge Road to No. 98a for a distance of approximately 38 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Clough Lane, Huddersfield Road, Ludensheid Link and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 31st July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 1st August 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 23:59 & 04:00.
(DUDWELL LANE, SKIRCOAT GREEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by L j Heffernan Utilities Limited intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Dudwell Lane from its junction with A629 Salterhebble Hill in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via A629 Salterhebble Hill, A646 Dryclough Lane, Skircoat Green Road, unaffected part of Dudwell Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 11th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 25th August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(LUMB LANE, MILL BANK)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Lumb Lane from 2 Lower Lumb to Mill Bank Close for a distance of approximately 310 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Lumb Lane, Deep Lane, Otter Lee Lane, Ratten Row Road, Plain Lane, Rooley Lane, Upper Field House Lane, Bowood Lane, Birks Lane, Mill Bank Road, and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 11th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd September 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(SMITHWELL LANE, HEPTONSTALL)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by United Living intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Smithwell Lane from No. 29 to Heptonstall Primary School for a distance of approximately 35 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Draper Lane, Lee Wood Road, Heptonstall Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 11th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(UPPER LANE, NORTHOWRAM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Upper Lane from No. 83 to outside Little London for a distance of approximately 330 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Howes Lane, Brow Lane, Cave Hill and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 11th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(BANKSIDE, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Blade Traffic Management intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Bankside from its junction with Bank Street to Longfield Road for a distance of approximately 250 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Bank Street, Longfield Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 13th August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th August 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00.
