The Mount - Temporary Closure To Install A New Box In The Carriageway

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of The Mount

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along The Mount - from the junction with Mount Pleasant to the Juntion with Little Keyford Lane to the Mount. A total distance of 699 metres.

This Order will enable Dunmore SW to install a new box in the carriageway on behlaf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 7th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 11th August 2025 and last until 13th August 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 3 days.
