What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(SIXTH AVENUE, HIGHTOWN, LIVERSEDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Sixth Avenue, Hightown, from a point approximately outside property no. 6 Sixth Avenue to a point approximately outside property no. 18 Sixth Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Twelfth Avenue, Eighth Avenue, Second Avenue, Windy Bank Lane, Sixth Avenue and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 28 July 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 29 July 2025 11:59 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CENTENARY WAY, CARLINGHOW, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Centenary Way, Carlinghow, from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Cross Bank Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cross Bank Road, Blakeridge Lane, Stocks Lane, Bradford Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 31 July 2025 and remain in force until 12 September 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(RAIKES LANE, BIRSTALL, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of  Raikes Lane, Birstall, point closure only at its  junction with Middlegate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Raikes Lane, Haworth Road, Lowood Lane, Field Head Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 30 July 2025 and remain in force until 5 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HUDDERSFIELD ROAD, WESTTOWN, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Huddersfield Road, Westtown, from its junction with Cemetery Road to its junction with Pinfold Hill PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Huddersfield Road, Webster Hill, Dewsbury Ring Road, Halifax Road, High Street, Westgate, Wakefield Road, Bradford Road, Leeds Road, Stocks Cemetery Road, Huddersfield Road and vice versa.      

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 30 July 2025 21:00 and remain in force until 31 July 2025 01:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PINFOLD HILL, WESTTOWN, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pinfold Hill, Westtown,  from its junction with Webster Hill, to its junction with Boothroyd Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Central Street, High Street, Cemetery Road, Huddersfield Road, Webster Hill - anti-clockwise only from Central Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 30 July 2025 and remain in force between the hours of 19:00 to 23:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(KIRKGATE, HANGING HEATON, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 3) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of  Kirkgate, Hanging Heaton, from a point approximately outside St Pauls Church to a point approximately outside property no.31 Kirkgate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Kirkgate, High Street Kirkgate and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 28 July 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(KNOWLER HILL/VALLEY ROAD/LISTING LANE, MILLBRIDGE, LIVERSEDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made  an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bradford Road at the following points: Knowler Hill - at its junction with Bradford Road Valley Road - at its junction with Bradford Road Listing Lane - at its junction with Bradford Road  PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: - Knowler Hill - Knowler Hill, Halifax Road, Leeds Road, Bradford Road and vice versa - Valley Road - Valley Road, Halifax Road, Leeds Road, Bradford Road and vice versa - Listing Lane - Listing Lane, Quarry Road, Oxford Road, Gomersal Road, Leeds Road, Bradford Road and vice versa

It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday 26 July 2025 and remain in force until 3 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(TITHE BARN STREET, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Tithe Barn Street, Dewsbury from a point approximately outside property no. 30 Tithe Barn Street to a point approximately outside property no. 40 Tithe Barn Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Tithe Barn Street, Westgate, Church Street - anticlockwise only. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 28 July 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(STAINCLIFFE ROAD, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made  an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Staincliffe Road, Dewsbury from its junction with School Street to its junction with Heckmondwike Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles persons affected by the closure will be available via Staincliffe Road, Dewsbury Gate Road, Halifax Road, High Street, Market Place, Walkley Lane, Heckmondwike Road and vice versa.     

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 28 July 2025 and remain in force until 22 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GEORGE STREET, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of George Street, Dewsbury from its junction with Canal Street, to its junction with Dewsbury Ring Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Wormald Street, Ashworth Road, Dewsbury Ring Road, Webster Hill, Huddersfield Road, Pinfold Hill

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 16 August 2025 22:00 and remain in force until 22 August 2025 05:00 on and off each night (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CLOUGH LANE, LOWER HOPTON, MIRFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Clough Lane, Lower Hopton from a point approximately from the bridge over the river  to its junction with Falhouse Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Tanhouse Lane, Liley Lane, Wakefield Road, New Road, Nell Gap Lane, Low Lane, Hostingley Lane, Church Lane, The Common, Overthorpe Road, Edge Top Road, Whitley Road, Jackson’s Lane, Howroyd Lane, Clough Lane. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 August 2025 19:00 and remain in force until 13 August 2025 06:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CHURCH STREET, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Church Street, Dewsbury from Church Street to Aldams Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Diversion 1 South Street, Old Westgate, Aldams Road Diversion 2 Aldams Road, Old Westgate, Daisy Hill, Church Street  It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 August 2025 00:00 and remain in force until August 2025 06:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CROSS BANK ROAD, CARLINGHOW, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cross Bank Road, Carlinghow, from its junction with Carlinghow Lane to its junction with Blakeridge Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Carlinghow Lane, White Lee Road, Healey Lane, West Park Road, Mayman Lane, Blakeridge Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 14 August 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 22 August 2025 18:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
