What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND ONE WAY ORDER
CHURCH STREET, NOTTINGHAM ROAD, GROSVENOR ROAD AND
CROMFORD ROAD, RIPLEY

WHEN: 04 August to 18 August 2025 (on 7 individual days)
WHERE:
Road Closures :
Church Street, Ripley between its Jct. with Cromford Road and its Jct. with Chapel Street.
Nottingham Road, Ripley between its Jct. with Chapel Street and its Jct. with New Street.
Grosvenor Road, Ripley between its Jct. with Nottingham Road and its Jct. with High Street.
One Way Order:
Cromford Road in an easterly direction between its Jct. with South Place and its Jct. with High Street.
REASON: To facilitate the replacement of road markings.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Diversion 1: Cromford Road, Hartshay Hill, Hartshay Interchange, A38, Watchorn Interchange, B6179 Derby Road/ Swanwick Hill/
Derby Road / Butterley Hill / Chapel Street and vice versa
Diversion 2: Cromford Road, Hartshay Hill, Hartsahy Interchange, A610, B6441 Nottingham Road and vice versa
Diversion 3: B6441 Nottingham Road, A610 Nottingham Road, Steammill Lane, Peasehill Road, B6179 Derby Road, High Street and vice versa
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
