TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE EXTENSION
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.50 & NO.71 (PART) BRIDLEWAY NO.48 & TRANS PENNINE TRAIL (PART) - STAVELEY PARISH
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 23 January 2025 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close Staveley footpaths No.50 & No.71 (part), bridleway No.48 & Trans Pennine Trail from SK43693 75355 to SK43886 75325, has been further continued.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the west side of the closure (canal towpath) follow the diversion route put in place. At the new bridge travel north to carry along the Trans Pennine Trail. Travel over the new bridge (south) to take the alternative route for footpath 71. After the bridge follow the new diversion for access to Bell House Lane. At Bellhouse lane follow the track to the allotments which joins footpath No.24 and travel east to join footpath No.20. Travel northeast along footpath No.20 and then northeast onto footpath No.21 to join the eastern closure point.
The public rights of way will be closed until
1 August 2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner, to facilitate public safety during canal restoration. Any member of the public requiring further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
