(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Parkside Drive, Houghton Regis between Fensome Drive and Maple Way.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 13 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Parkside Drive, Windsor Drive, Sandringham Drive, A5505, Parkside Drive and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Humphrys Road, Dunstable opposite Unit 9.
This temporary closure is required to enable new service connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 15 August 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Humphrys Road, Lovett Way and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Friars Walk, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable pre surface dressing patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 29 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm and Saturdays from 8am and 1pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (HARLINGTON: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 2) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On the 18 July 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the following length of part of Public Footpath No. 2, Harlington.
The length of part of Footpath No. 2, Harlington to be stopped up extends from its junction with Toddington Road at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0332 3056 in a north-westerly direction for approximately 501 metres to its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 2, Harlington at OS GR TL 0297 3092.
The footpath is stopped up across its full width.
The length of Bridleway No. 36, Harlington to be created extends from its junction with Toddington Road at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0332 3056 in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 53 metres to OS GR TL 0335 3059 then continues in a generally southeasterly direction for approximately 77 metres to OS GR TL 0342 3056 then continues in a generally northerly direction for approximately 149 metres following the railway line to OS GR TL 0341 3070 then continues in a generally north-westerly direction for approximately 92 metres to OS GR TL 0334 3076 then continues in a westerly direction for approximately 14 metres across a spine road to OS GR TL 0332 3076 then continues in a west-north-westerly direction for approximately 187 metres to OS GR TL 0316 3084 then continues in a west-north-westerly direction for approximately 8 metres across a spine road to OS GR TL 0315 3085 then continues in a west-north-westerly direction for approximately 192 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 2, Harlington at OS GR TL 0297 3092.
The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.
