What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HOGPITS BOTTOM, FLAUNDEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hogpits Bottom, Flaunden from its junction with Flaunden Park westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Hogpits Bottom, Flaunden Lane, Chipperfield Road, Green Lane, Bovingdon Green, Long Lane and Hogpits Bottom.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BENEATH AYCLIFFE DRIVE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated beneath Aycliffe Drive, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.14 Henry Wells Square north westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Footpath”). An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting No.14 Henry Wells Square, Aycliffe Drive and Hemel Hempstead Public Footpath No.134.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CRAWLEYS LANE, WIGGINTON) ORDER NO.3 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crawleys Lane, Wigginton from its junction with Wigginton Bottom north eastwards to its junction with Rossway Lane, a distance of approximately 1128m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Crawleys Lane, Chesham Road, Hemp Lane, Bottom House Lane and Crawleys Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FLAUNDEN LANE, FELDEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Flaunden Lane, Felden from a point 180m south west of its junction with Longcroft Lane south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 350m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Flaunden Lane, Bulstrode Lane, Chipperfield Road, Tower Hill and Flaunden Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DARRS LANE, NORTHCHURCH) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Darrs Lane, Northchurch from a point 147m north east of its junction with Shootersway north eastwards for a distance of approximately 209m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Darrs Lane, Shootersway, Bell Lane, Granville Road and Darrs Lane. The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN LEVERSTOCK GREEN, ST ALBANS, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, PIMLICO AND BEDMOND) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A4147 Leverstock Green Road, Leverstock Green and A4147 Hemel Hempstead Road, Leverstock Green/St Albans from its junction with Bedmond Road south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with the A4147 Bluehouse Hill/King Harry Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 5052m, when signs are in place.
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of Bedmond Road, Hemel Hempstead/Pimlico/Bedmond, Church Hill, Bedmond and High Street, Bedmond from its junction with A4147 Leverstock Green Road south eastwards and southwards to its junction with Toms Lane, a distance of approximately 3439m, when signs are in place.
3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Bedmond Road into St Michael Rural Public Footpath No.018, Pimlico for the duration of the event.
An alternative route will be via Bedmond Road, A4147 (Leverstock Green Road/Hemel Hempstead Road), Blackwater Lane and Bedmond Road.
The Order is needed to ensure public safety and prevent accidents during the ‘Centurion Club’ golf event’.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (FROGMORE ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council to maintain road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to bring the order in line with the on-street waiting restrictions on Frogmore Road, Hemel Hempstead as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
