What is happening?

Hillfield, Foxton Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic Order 2025-1342
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hillfield, Foxton as lies between No.23 & Fowlmere Road (including side roads). The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 11/8/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 10/2/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11/8 & 29/8/25.

Horseshoes Lane, Weston Colville Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic Order 2025-1344
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Horseshoes Lane, Weston Colville as lies between The Green & Three Horseshoes. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/8/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/2/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4/8 & 22/8/25.

Hinton Road & Fulbourn Old Drift, Fulbourn Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1364
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hinton Road & Fulbourn Old Drift, Fulbourn as lies between Cambridge Road & Fulbourn Old Drift. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cambridge Rd; Caraway Rd; Bird Farm Rd; Pierce Rd; Hinton Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate rising main installation, footway widening and improvement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/8/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/2/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4/8 & 31/8/25.

Church Street, Fen Ditton Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1371
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Fen Ditton as lies between Stanbury & High Street. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 25/8/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 24/2/27 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 25/8 & 29/8/25.

Market Passage, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition Of Use Order 2025-1387
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Market Passage, Cambridge as lies between Market Street & Sidney Street. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway, kerb, drainage improvements & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/8/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/2/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4/8 & 7/8/25.

Fulbourn Old Drift, Teversham Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-1465
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Fulbourn Old Drift, Teversham as lies between No.63 & Gazelle Way. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical duct installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/8/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/2/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4/8 & 6/10/25.

Various Roads, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic; Temporary Revocation Of One-Way Traffic Order & Temporary Prohibition Of Waiting At Taxi Rank – Order 2025-912
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to suspend the one way Traffic Order along various roads, as set out below in Schedule 2. Furthermore, Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to stop any taxi from parking\waiting along various roads, as set out in Schedule 3 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate footway, kerb & drainage improvements & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 4/8/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 3/2/27 whichever is the earlier. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 18/8/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 17/2/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
