What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. 
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

ASHLEY ROAD, MEDBOURNE
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 05/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 10 weeks. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake new water connection. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

BARKBY ROAD, SYSTON 
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 11/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 7 days to allow Sirina Projects Ltd to undertake Section 278 resurfacing works in connection with the new development. The proposed diversion route will be via: Barkby Rd, Syston Rd, Melton Rd, Queniborough; Melton Rd, Syston & vice versa.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 11/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 weeks to allow S&R Construction Ltd to undertake high voltage ducting works in connection with the new development. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME
TEMPORARY IMPLEMENTATION OF 40 MPH & 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2025
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 11/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 months to allow National Grid & their contractors to undertake various works in the highway as part of their 11kv scheme. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 12 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway patching work. 
The proposed diversion route will be via: Copt Oak Rd, Whitwick Dr, Priory Ln, & vice versa.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 12/08/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 7 days to allow BT/MJ Quinn to undertake installation, repair & maintenance work.

The Order will come into force on 28/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 weeks to allow Severn Trent Water & their contractors to undertake installation of new apparatus & other associated works.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
The Order will come into force on 28/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 12 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 weeks to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake culvert replacement works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Westfield Ln, The Ridings & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 10 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake repair, maintenance & installation work. The proposed diversion route will be via: Waverley Rd, Saville Rd, Blaby.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Church Ln, Baggrave Rd, Hungarton Ln, Ingarsby Rd, & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 18 months to allow C3 Construction & their appointed contractors & utility company to facilitate development infrastructure works; various utility installations, inspections & maintenance; various highway maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Meridian Wy, Lubbesthorpe Wy, Braunstone; Lubbesthorpe Wy, Hinckley Rd, Leicester City; Hinckley Rd, Beggars Ln, Leicester Forest East.
