(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

On 14 July 2025 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on carriageway surface dressing works) on various streets in North Lanarkshire on the undernoted roads by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Kipps Byre Road & Whinhall Road, Airdrie – from the extended southern kerbline of B803 Coatbridge Road to the extended north kerbline of Ballochney Street.

Alternative Routes: Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing to access the south side of the closure should travel north eastwards on B803 Coatbridge Road, southwards on B802 Glenmavis Road, south then westwards on Ballochney Street, to the south side of the closure.

Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing to access the north side of the closure should travel vice versa.

Darngavil Road & Ballochney Road, Airdrie – from the extended southern kerbline of Meikle Drumgray Road to the extended west kerbline of Meadowhead Road.

Mill Road, Allanton – from the junction with Coltness Avenue northwards to its termination.

Alternative Routes: No alternative route applicable.

The appropriate diversion signing will be in place advising drivers of the restrictions during each closure associated with the works. Each closure will only be valid when the appropriate signing is in place.

Pedestrian access will be permitted at all times where applicable.

Vehicular access to adjacent premises/ roads will be maintained, where possible, by arrangement with the contractor during each closure.

No two closures, in the same geographical location will proceed at the same time.

The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 28th July 2025 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 31st August 2025.
