Gore Road & Old Milton Road, New Milton, New Forest - Temporary Road Closure due to gas mains replacement

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road. 
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:  PHASE 1-  Gore Road between its junction with Albert Road and its junction with Old Milton Road. PHASE 2- Gore Road between its junction with Peckham Avenue and its junction with Old Milton Road. Old Milton Road between its junction with Whitefield Road and its junction with Elm Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:  Gore Road- Walkford Road, Ringwood Road, Lymington Road, Christchurch Road. Old Milton Road- Lymington Road and Station Road.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 21st July 2025 for Phase One and from Monday 11th August 2025 for Phase 2 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closures will be required for no longer than 3 weeks for Phase 1 and 2 weeks for Phase 2 and in operation 24 hours a day).  The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for
