Latimer Street - No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions

What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (LATIMER STREET, THE BOROUGH OF CHARNWOOD) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2022 (LATIMER STREET, ANSTEY) (AMENDMENT 12) ORDER 2025 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:- 

To revoke part of the Limited Waiting 1 Hour No Return within 1 Hour Mon-Sat 8am-6pm except Resident’s Parking Permit Holders on the northern end of Latimer Street, Anstey To revoke part of the No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions on the southern end of Latimer Street, Anstey To impose No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions on part of the northern end of Latimer Street, Anstey To impose Limited Waiting 1 Hour No Return within 1 Hour Mon-Sat 8am-6pm except Resident’s Parking Permit Holders’ Parking Bays on part of the southern end of Latimer Street, Anstey The Order will come into force on the twenty-eighth day of July 2025. 

A copy of the Order and the relevant map is available for public inspection at County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA. The Order can also be viewed online at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations 

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
