Whitchurch, Temporary One-Way Traffic Regulation For Scaffolding & Building Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC NEWBURY STREET & B3400 LONDON STREET, WHITCHURCH, BASINGSTOKE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road. ONE-WAY TRAFFIC To have one-way traffic implemented on the following road in a Southernly direction: Newbury Street between its junction with Vinery Close and its junction with Church Street (Roundabout). ONE-WAY TRAFFIC To have one-way traffic implemented on the following road in a South-Westerly direction: B3400 London Street between its junction with Kingfish Close and its junction with Church Street (Roundabout). ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bell Street, Lower Evingar Road, Evingar Road, Station Road, Newbury Road, Dances Lane, Lynch Hill Park DURATION OF ORDER: from 21st July 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 43 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day). The one-way traffic has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Coles Scaffolding Limited to carry out erection of scaffolding and complete building works.
