Winchester - Temporary Road Closures due to Excavation Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

DUKE STREET & CHURCH STREET & NORTHBROOK, MICHELDEVER, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

1. Duke Street between its junction with Sloe Lane and its junction with A33 London Road.

2. Church Street & Northbrook between its junction with Duke Street and its junction with Larkwhistle Farm Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:

1. A33, Larkwhistle Farm Road, Northbrook, Church Street

2. Larkwhistle Farm Road, A33, Duke Street

DURATION OF ORDER: from 4th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 37 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).

The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for OCU Group to carry out excavation works to install duct for fibre optic cable installation. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: BDUKHampshireStreetworks@ocugroup.com

OCU Group will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
