Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

HORSFORD – B1149 Holt Road from its junction with Mill Lane to its junction with St Helena Way to facilitate site entrance and sewer connection works from 23rd July to 12th August 2025 (may continue until 23rd September 2025). Alternative route is via: B1149 Holt Road, B1145 Aylsham Road/ Cawston Road, Henry Page Road, A140 Cromer Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, B1149 Brewery Lane/Holt Road (Marsham, Felthorpe, Hevingham, Horsford, Stratton Strawless, Aylsham, Horsham St. Faith and Newton St. Faith, Cawston, Hainford, Haveringland). The works promoter is Pro Dig Groundworks.

LINGWOOD AND BURLINGHAM – South Burlingham Road from 100m north of its junction with Lingwood Long Lane for 110m northwards to facilitate detailed bridge examination works between 22:00 and 06:00 from 21st to 25th July 2025 (may continue until 5th September 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Road, Norwich Road, Station Road, School Road, Elm Road, Lodge Road, South Burlingham Road. The works promoter is Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

SPROWSTON – C283 Salhouse Road from its junction with A1042 Heartsease Road to its junction with A1270 Broadland Northway to facilitate surface dressing works between 17:00 and 23:59 from 20th to 27th July 2025 (may continue until 7th September 2025). Alternative route is via: Salhouse Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, A1151 Wroxham Road, A1042 Mousehold Lane (Rackheath, Sprowston). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

NB – These dates are anticipated to be only on the 20th July, 27th July will be used as a contingency if the 20th July does not go ahead.

STALHAM – C412 Brumstead Road from its junction U19239 Camping Field Lane for 70m south eastwards to facilitate demolition and rebuilding works for a wall from 23rd July to 2nd September 2025 only whilst signs indicating closures (may continue until 2nd March 2026).

Alternative route is via: Brumstead Road, B1159 Stepping Stone Lane, Wayford Road, A149 Wayford Road/Yarmouth Road, Old Market Road, Lower Staithe Road, Ingham Road, Brumstead Road. The works promoter is RP Shearwood Builders.

NB – Please note that this road will be opened for one day on 17th August 2025.

SUSTEAD – Manor Road from its junction with Plant Lane Kiln Road to its junction with Lime Kiln Road to facilitate telegraph pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on the 22nd July 2025 (may continue until 2nd September 2025). Alternative route is via: New Road, The Street, Church Road, Thurgarton Hall Road, Mill Road, Rinking Lane, Bessingham Road, Manor Road (Aldborough & Thurgarton, Sustead) The works promoter is BT.

TAVERHAM – A1067 Fakenham Road from its junction with C262 Beech Avenue to its junction with U51202 Windsor Chase to facilitate road marking works between 19:00 on the 21st July and 01:00 on the 22nd July 2025 (may continue until 3rd September 2025). Alternative route is via: A1067 Fakenham Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, A140 Holt Road/Cromer Road/Boundary Road, A1067 Drayton High Road/Fakenham Road (Hellesdon, Horsford, Drayton, Horsham St. Faith and Newton St. Faith, Taverham, Attlebridge). THORPE ST. ANDREW

  1. A1242 Yarmouth Road from its junction with A1042 Ring Road for 20m westwards and

  2. A1042 Yarmouth Road from its junction with A1242 Yarmouth Road for 20m eastwards and

  3. A1042 Ring Road from its junction with A1242 Yarmouth Road for 20m northwards and

  4. A1242 Yarmouth Road from its junction with A1042 Ring Road to 30m west of its junction with Bungalow Lane to facilitate carriageway improvement works from 21st July to 22nd August 2025 only whilst signs indicate closures are in place (may continue until 22nd February 2026).

THURSFORD – C318 North Lane from 104m east of its junction with Clarks Lane for 30m eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water works for a new water connection from 21st to 23rd July 2025 (may continue until 3rd September 2025).

Alternative route is via: North Lane, Hindringham Road, A148 Fakenham Road, A148 Holt Road, The Street, Great Snoring Road, Norwich Road, Thursford Road, Walsingham Road (Great Snoring, Little Snoring, Kettlestone, Thursford). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

BILLINGFORD – B1145 Elmham Road from its junction with C219 Bintree Road for 50m westwards to facilitate works for a new water connection from 23rd to 25th July 2025 (may continue until 5th September 2025).

BRAMERTON – C202 Rockland Road from its junction with U78042 Framingham Lane for 800m eastwards to facilitate works on overhead lines between 09:30 and 15:30 on the 22nd July 2025 (may continue until 2nd September 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Kirby Road, A146 Loddon Road, Norwich Road, Langley Road, Staithe Road, Langley Green, Ferry Road, Claxton Corner, Lower Road, New Inn Hill, The Street, Rookery Hill, Bramerton Lane (Framingham Pigot, Claxton, Rockland St. Mary, Chedgrave, Trowse with Newton, Kirby Bedon, Yelverton, Langley with Hardley, Hellington, Bramerton, Ashby St. Mary, Thurton, Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley, Holverston, Carleton St. Peter). BROCKDISH – A143 Lower Street/Bungay Road/Scole Road from its junction with C571 Scole Road for 4290m westwards to facilitate stud replacement works between 20:00 on 21st July and 06:00 on 22nd July 2025 (may continue until 2nd September 2025). EASTON – U78206 Ringland Road from its junction with U78215 Weston Road for 1066m southwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council patching works from 21st to 23rd July 2025 (may continue until 3rd September 2025).

FRAMINGHAM EARL – U76369 Yelverton Road from its junction with St Andrews Close for 300m eastwards to facilitate CityFibre Metro Networks new fibre network installation works for BDUK from 23rd to 28th July 2025 (may continue until 8th September 2025). Alternative route is via: Yelverton Road, Hall Road, Burgate Lane, Wheel Road, Church Road, Framingham Earl Road (Poringland, Framingham Earl, Alpington, Yelverton). The works promoter is CityFibre Metro Networks.

FRAMINGHAM EARL – C797 Long Road from 70m west of its junction with U71372 Saint Annes Road for 165m westwards to facilitate cable installation works from 23rd July to 1st August 2025 (may continue until 12th September 2025).

FRAMINGHAM PIGOT – U78040 Bramerton Lane from 230m east of its junction with A146 Loddon Road for 100m eastwards to facilitate Cadent remedial works for reinstatement from 22nd to 23rd July 2025 (may continue until 3rd September 2025). Alternative route is via: A146 Loddon Road, Sallow Lane, Kirby Road, Mill Lane (Framingham Pigot, Kirby Bedon, Bramerton). The works promoter is Cadent.

GREAT DUNHAM – C123 Litcham Road from its junction with C238 Castle Acre Road for 310m southwards to facilitate works for a new drainage system from 23rd July to 2nd September 2025 (may continue until 2nd March 2026).

Alternative route is via:

GREAT DUNHAM – C240 Beeston Road from its junction with C123 Litcham Road for 50m eastwards to facilitate new drainage system works from 21st July to 2nd September 2025 (may continue until 2nd March 2026).

GREAT ELLINGHAM – U33143 Bow Street from 480m west of its junction with C136 Hingham Road for 50m westwards to facilitate sluice valve repair works from 21st to 23rd July 2025 (may continue until 3rd September 2025).

HEDENHAM – C364 Earsham Road from its junction with B1332 Norwich Road for 100m southwards to facilitate carriageway repair works on 21st July 2025 (may continue until 1st September 2025).

    NEW BUCKINGHAM – New Buckingham Footpath 1 from 225m southwest of its junction with B1113 Norwich Road for 15m south-westwards to facilitate works on or near the Footpath namely defective bridge and boardwalk. The Footpath will be temporarily closed from 23rd July 2025 to 1st January 2026 (previously 2nd to 22nd July 2025).

    ROCKLANDS – B1077 Attleborough Road from 218m north-east of its junction with C135 The Street for 77m north-eastwards to facilitate carriageway repair works from 22nd to 24th July 2025 (may continue until 4th September 2025).

    Alternative route is via: B1077 Attleborough Road/Watton Road, C136 Hingham Road/Attleborough Road, B1108 Church Street/Watton Road/Norwich Road, B1077 Caston Road/Carbrooke Road/Caston Road/Brayes Lane

    SURLINGHAM – C195 Walnut Hill from its junction with U78016 Pratts Hill for 400m south eastwards to facilitate new fibre network installation works for BDUK from 24th July to 14th August 2025 (may continue until 15th September 2025).

    KING’S LYNN – King’s Lynn Footpath 17 from its junction with C39 Clenchwarton Road for 1350m north-eastwards to facilitate footway revamp and renewal works from 21st July to 29th August 2025 (may continue until 20th January 2026).

    Alternative route is via: Kings Lynn Bridleway 16, Bankside, St Peters Road.

    KING’S LYNN – 1) 20611/20 Chase Avenue from its junction with Vancouver Avenue for 40m northwards and

    2) 20613/10 Summermile Road from its junction with Vancouver Avenue to its junction with Sidney Street to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works from 21st July to 29th August 2025 (may continue until 28th February 2026).

    Alternative route is via: Goodwins Road.

    NORTH RUNCTON – Rectory Lane from 470m east of its junction with Main Road for 50m eastwards to facilitate fire hydrant repair works from 23rd to 25th July 2025 (may continue until 5th September 2025).

    SOUTH WOOTTON – Castle Rising Road from its junction with A148 Grimston Road for 20m northwards to facilitate toucan crossing installation works from 23rd July to 3rd September 2025 (may continue until 3rd March 2026).

    Alternative route is via: Grimston Road, Queen Elizabeth Way, Lynn Road, Castle Rising Road (Castle Rising, South Wootton, North Wootton).

    The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

    TERRINGTON ST. CLEMENT – Race Course Road from 200m north of its junction with Green Marsh Road for 50m northwards to facilitate duct and cabling works from 23rd to 25th July 2025 (may continue until 5th September 2025).

    Alternative route is via: Race Course Road, Rhoon Road, Northgate Way, Tower Road.

    The works promoter is BT.

    TERRINGTON ST. CLEMENT – Churchgate Way from 50m south of its junction with U21237 Church Bank for 118m northwards to facilitate footway resurfacing works from 23rd July to 20th August 2025 (may continue until 20th February 2026).

    Alternative route is via: Churchgate Way, Lynn Road, Marsh Road, Northgate Way (Clenchwarton, Terrington St. Clement).

    The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

    WALSOKEN

    1. Broadend Road from its junction with A47 Wisbech Bypass for 500m south-eastwards and;

    2. Biggs Road from its junction with Broadend Road for 250m southwards to facilitate patching works from 24th to 25th July 2025 (may continue until 5th September 2025).

      Alternative route is via: Biggs Road, Wilkins Road, Walsoken Road, Smeeth Road, Trinity Road, Mill Lane, School Road, Lynn Road, A47 (Walsoken, Walpole Highway, West Walton, Marshland St. James).

      The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

      The team dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is West Streetworks.

    Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath.

    Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required.

    The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
