What is happening?

Bus Lane Suspension

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.

King’s Road Bus Lane is to be suspended from the junction of Cadogan Gardens to the junction of Sloane Square. This is to allow the installation of a traffic chicane to allow utility works outside of number 21 King’s Road.

To be closed from 08.00hrs on Monday 28th July until 18.00hrs on Wednesday 30th July 2025, with a backup dates of Monday 4th August 2025 until Wednesday 6th August, or until the works are completed.

There is no diversion route required for this Bus lane closure.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
