What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES OLD BROMPTON ROAD
Eastbound directional road closure from the junction of Glendower Place
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.
Old Brompton Road to be closed eastbound from the junction of Glendower Place to Cromwell Place.
Glendower Place prohibited lefthand turn at the junction of Old Brompton Road.
To be closed from 08.00hrs on Monday 4th August until 18.00hrs on Monday 11th August 2025, or until the works are completed.
Diverted through traffic may use Old Brompton Road, Queen’s Gate, Harrington Road, Cromwell Place, Old Brompton Road.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
