What is happening?
Control of Traffic – Durham Street, Belfast
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Control of Traffic (Durham Street, Belfast)
Order (Northern Ireland) 2025.
The Order will -
• provide a two-way cycle lane on a length of Durham Street, Belfast;
• provide a shared footway/cycle track on a length of College Square North and lengths of Durham Street, Belfast; and
• prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of College Square North and Durham
Street, Belfast.
The Order will also revoke certain existing provisions for cycle tracks and no waiting at any time prohibitions on College Square
North and Durham Street, Belfast.
Vehicles are excepted from the prohibition in certain circumstances.

Glengall Street, Belfast
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places on Roads (Coaches) (Glengall
Street, Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025”, (S.R. 2025 No. 133), which comes into operation on 1st August 2025.
The Rule will revoke the existing coaches parking place on Glengall Street, Belfast and replace it with a longer parking place
for coaches. Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

Waiting Restrictions – Pick-up/Drop-off Point,
Boyne Bridge Place, Belfast
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Waiting Restrictions (Boyne Bridge Place,
Belfast – Pick-up and Drop-off Point) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025” (S.R. 2025 No. 132) which comes into operation on 1
August 2025.
The Rule will prohibit vehicles, including vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge, from waiting at any time for longer than
10 minutes, with return prohibited until a period of 1 hour has elapsed, on a length of Boyne Bridge Place, Belfast. Vehicles are
excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

Control of Traffic – Glengall Street, Belfast
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Control of Traffic (Glengall Street, Belfast)
Order (Northern Ireland) 2025”, (S.R. 202 No. 131), which comes into operation on 1st August 2025.
The Rule will prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading permitted) on two lengths of the north side of Glengall
Street and introduce two loading bays for the use of all vehicles loading and unloading certain goods.
The Order will also revoke the existing taxi stand and four lengths of no waiting at any time (loading and unloading not
permitted) restrictions.
Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

Control of Traffic – Belfast City Centre
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Control of Traffic (Belfast City Centre)
(Northern Ireland) 2025”, (S.R. 2025 No. 130), which comes into operation on 1st August 2025.
The Rule will provide various control of traffic measures on Amelia Street, Boyne Bridge Place, Bruce Street, Durham Street,
Glengall Street, Great Victoria Street, Hope Street and St Andrews Square West.

Temporary Traffic Regulation
Knockcairn Road, Dundrod
Notice is hereby given that the Department for Infrastructure using its powers under Article 7 (1) and (3) of the Road Traffic
Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, has temporarily prohibited the use, by traffic of:-
Knockcairn Road, Dundrod from from Leathemstown Road to Garlandstown Road.
This road will be closed daily from 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs, from Monday 28th July until Friday 12th September 2025.
The closure is required for carriageway resurfacing.
Alternative route: Leathemstown Road – Dundrod Road – Ballydonaghy Road – Moira Road – Garlandstown Road.
