Copythorn Road and Tokio Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Copythorn Road and Tokio Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.121) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 25th July 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
COPYTHORN ROAD
From its junction with Copnor Road for 10 metres.
TOKIO ROAD
From its junction with Copnor Road for 10 metres.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate works for removal and relocation of bus stop from its junction with Tokio Road to Mayhall Road.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 25th July 2025 to 15th August 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Copnor Road, Mayhall Road, Highgate Road and Copnor Road, Laburnum Grove, Kensington Road, Copythorn Road and Copnor Road, Stubbington Avenue, Kensington Road, Copythorn Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
