What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14 THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION)

(FORD ROAD, BAMPTON) ORDER 2025 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 18/8/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 29/8/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: FORD ROAD, BAMPTON. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - FORD ROAD, ROAD FROM FORD MILL CROSS TO HUKELEY BRIDGE, ROAD FROM HUKELEY BRIDGE TO SHILLINGFORD BRIDGE, ROAD FROM HOLWELL FARM TO HUKELEY BRIDGE, ROAD FROM HOLWELL FARM TO BAMPTON, CASTLE STREET, NEWTON SQUARE, FORE STREET, BROOK STREET, BRITON STREET, FORD ROAD.

(ROAD FROM BROOMHILL CROSS TO BUTTSFORD BRIDGE CROSS, COLEBROOKE) ORDER 2025 

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 19/8/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 26/8/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: ROAD FROM BROOMHILL CROSS TO BUTTSFORD BRIDGE CROSS, COLEBROOKE. 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - BROOMHILL CROSS - COLEFORD - COLEBROOKE MILL - COLEBROOKE - BROCKS CROSS - RAILWAY OVERBRIDGE, DIVERSION ENDS & VICE VERSA. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: PATCHING WORKS.
