PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF NEW CAR CLUB BAYS
IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN THE LONDON
BOROUGH OF CROYDON
The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. F16) Order 20–
The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. F17) Order 20–
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.
The general effect of the Orders would be:
(a) To introduce new car club parking places, in the locations detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.
(b) To adjust existing restrictions to accommodate the new arrangements where necessary.
(c) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.
A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all documents can be obtained by email request to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
Persons desiring to object or make representations in relation to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Design Team, Place Department, Croydon Council, Floor 3, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA or email Parking Design (address above) quoting the reference PD/CH/F16 & F17 by 07 August 2025.
The proposed Orders are to introduce new car club parking bays. The introduction of these bays is intended to help support sustainable transport in the Borough, as required by Croydon Local Plan Policy, which requires new residential developments to contribute to the provision of car clubs and car sharing schemes. The bays are also intended to help reduce the need for private car ownership and assist residents who wish to give up their cars while allowing for occasional car travel.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984,
SECTION 14 AS AMENDED
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS)
ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
BRIGHTON ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Brighton Road, South Croydon.
During the work the cycle lane on the east side of Brighton Road will be closed between its junction with Napier Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 220 and 222 Brighton Road.
Whilst the closure remains in force cyclists will be required to dismount and use the footway.
The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 08 August 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

LITTLE ROKE AVENUE, KENLEY
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR
TRAFFIC & PARKING
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate drainage works, they have made an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Little Roke Avenue, Kenley.
Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Little Roke Avenue will be closed at its junction with Little Roke Road.
b) Parking in Little Roke Avenue will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply “at any time” along both sides of the road from its junction with Little Roke Road to No. 89 Little Roke Avenue.
c) Three disabled persons’ parking places, available to Blue Badge holders only, will be temporarily provided in the following locations.
• Two bays outside No. 6 Little Roke Road (positioned either side of the dropped kerb).
• One bay outside Nos. 16/18 Lower Road (positioned adjacent to the dropped kerb accessing the footpath between Nos. 16/18 and No. 20 Lower Road).
The Order will come into operation on 23 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 31 August 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

LYNDHURST ROAD, THORNTON HEATH
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new connection works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath.
During the work Lyndhurst Road will be closed outside No. 77 Lyndhurst Road.
Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for traffic will be via London Road, Malvern Road, and Beversstone Road, or via London Road, Langdale Road, and Beversone Road.
The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 25 July 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
