What is happening?

GORCHYMYN CYNGOR BWRDEISTREF SIROL PEN-Y-BONT AR OGWR (CAU LLWYBR TROED DROS DRO) (LLWYBR 6 BRACLA, PEN-Y-BONT AR OGWR) 2025 - RHODDIR RHYBUDD DRWY HYN fod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Prifyrdd dros Bracla gan arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Trafg Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) yn bwriadu o fewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn gwneud Gorchymyn fydd yn cau dros dro y llwybr a ddisgrifr yn yr atodlen isod. 

Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd oherwydd bod wyneb y llwybr wedi dirywio, sy’n golygu nad yw’n ddiogel i’r cyhoedd ei ddefnyddio. 

Mae angen ei gau dros dro i amddifyn y cyhoedd ac i’w gwneud yn bosibl cyfawni gwaith i drwsio’r wyneb. 

Atodlen - Y rhan honno o Lwybr 6 Bracla – sy’n dechrau yng nghornel de-ddwyreiniol yr eiddo a adwaenir fel Rhif 29 Fenwick Drive, Bracla, ac yn parhau mewn cyfeiriad de-de-ddwyreiniol yn gyfredinol am 104 metr at y llwybr pren / pont droed. Daw y Gorchymyn i rym ar 03/08/2025 i gyd-fynd â diwedd y cyfnod cau brys presennol a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod o 6 mis ar y mwyaf, neu tan y cyfryw amser ag y bydd y gwaith wedi cael ei gwblhau, p’un bynnag fydd y cyntaf. Ni fydd y cyfyngiad yn weithredol, fodd bynnag, ond ar y cyfryw amser ac i’r cyfryw raddau ag y dangosir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion trafg a ragnodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyfredinol Arwyddion Trafg 2016. Nid oes llwybr amgen addas ar gael.

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) (FOOTPATH 6 BRACKLA, BRIDGEND) ORDER 2025 - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Brackla in exercise of its powers under Secton 14(1) of the Road Trafc Regulaton Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notce to make an Order which will temporarily close the footpaths set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety due to the deterioraton in the Footpath surface meaning that it is unsafe for the public to use. 

A temporary closure is needed to protect the public and to enable works to be undertaken to repair the surface. 

Schedule - That secton of Footpath 6 Brackla - commencing at the south-eastern corner of the property known as Number 29 Fenwick Drive, Brackla, and proceeding in a generally south south-easterly directon for 104 metres to the boardwalk / footbridge. The Order will come into force on the 03/08/2025 to coincide with the expiry of the current emergency closure and will contnue in force for a maximum period of six months or untl the works are completed whichever is the sooner. The restricton shall however only apply at such tme and to such extent as shall from tme to tme be indicated by trafc signs prescribed by The Trafc Signs Regulatons and General Directons 2016. There is no suitable alternatve route available.
