What is happening?

In the Borough of Tonbridge & Malling THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, TONBRIDGE AND MALLING) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS
AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.5) ORDER 2025


Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic
Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, has made the above Order.


The effect of the Order is;


a) Tonbridge - Cage Green Road Extension to existing double yellow lines to improve visibility.
b) Tonbridge – 176 Shipbourne Road New dropped kerb requires double yellow lines to prevent obstruction.
c) Tonbridge – Tudeley Lane Double yellow line protection on access to care home and along one side of the road
d) Tonbridge – Norfolk Road Adjustment to permit parking bays to accomodate a new enforceable disabled person parking bay.
e) Tonbridge – 45 Pembury Road Double yellow line protection across driveway to prevent obstruction of new driveway.
f) Not used
g) East Malling - Carnation Crescent Change an existing advisory disabled persons parking bay opposite No 23 to an enforceable disabled person parking bay.

A copy of the Order and a statement of reasons for making the Order may be
inspected during normal working hours at the Tonbridge and Malling Council
Offices, Kings Hill, West Malling.


The Order may also be viewed on www.tmbc.gov.uk/parkingorders


Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulations 1984, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
