Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A26 London Road & A26 Mount Ephraim, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A26 London Road & A26 Mount Ephraim, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 45, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A264 Church Road, Mount Pleasant Road, Grosvenor Road, A26 Mount Ephraim.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A26 Mount Ephraim, Grosvenor Road, Upper Grosvenor Road, Meadow Road, Goods Station Road, Grosvenor Road, Mount Pleasant Road, A264 Church Road.
A228 Colts Hill & A228 Maidstone Road, Pembury, TN12 6SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow carriageway maintenance to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A228 Colts Hill & A228 Maidstone Road, Pembury, on or after 1st August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed between the junction of B2017 Badsell Road and the junction with A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, between the hours of 20:00 on 1st August 2025 and 05:30 on 2nd August 2025, and 20:00 on 3rd August 2025 and 05:30 on 4th August 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic Northbound is via A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, A228 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Slip Northbound On And Off, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Pembury Road, A21 Vauxhall Slip Northbound Off, A2014 Vauxhall Lane, Vauxhall Roundabout, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road, B2017 Crockhurst Street, B2017 Five Oak Green Road, B2017 Badsell Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic Southbound is via B2017 Badsell Road, B2017 Five Oak Green Road, B2017 Crockhurst Street, B2017 Tudeley Road, A26 Woodgate Way, Vauxhall Roundabout, A2014 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Pembury Slip Road to A228 Pembury Road, A228 Pembury Road, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass.
Babbs Lane, Benenden, TN17 4LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Babbs Lane, Benenden, on or after 30th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with B2086 Cranbrook Road and the junction with Spring Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Babbs Lane, Coldharbour Road, Iden Green Road, B2086 Cranbrook Road and vice versa.
Ballards Hill, Horsmonden, TN17 1JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ballards Hill, Horsmonden, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ballards Court. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ballards Hill, B2079 North Road, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Lamberhurst By-pass Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, The Heath, Goudhurst Road, Ballards Hill and vice versa.
Dingleden, Benenden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dingleden, Benenden, on or after 13th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with B2086 Rolvenden Road and the junction with Woodcock Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, Iden Green Road, Standen Street, Woodcock Lane, Dingleden and vice versa.
Foxhole Lane, Matfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water meter works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foxhole Lane, Matfield, on or after 30th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Glenbrook. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foxhole Lane, Chestnut Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, Bramble Reed Lane, Foxhole Lane and vice versa.
Gate Farm Road, Bidborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gate Farm Road, Bidborough, on or after 1st August 2025 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 140 metres in a North direction from property named Broadfield. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gate Farm Road, Hayesden Lane, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, Gate Farm Road and vice versa.
Halls Hole Road, Hawkenbury, TN2 4RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Halls Hole Road, Hawkenbury, on or after 14th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with A264 Pembury Road and the junction with Bayhall Road, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A228 Pembury Road, Kingswood Road, Bayhall Road and vice versa.
Ladham Road, Goudhurst, TN17 1LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ladham Road, Goudhurst, on or after 13th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Hollow. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ladham Road, Jarvis Lane, B2084 Chequers Road and vice versa.
Slip Mill Lane, Hawkhurst, TN18 5BD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Slip Mill Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 5. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Limes Grove, A229 Gills Green, Wellington Road, Slip Mill Lane and vice versa.
Stone Street, Cranbrook, TN18 4WB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stone Street, Cranbrook, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 31. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stone Street, High Street, A229 Angley Road, Waterloo Road, Stone Street and vice versa.
Whites Lane, Hawkhurst, TN18 4ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whites Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 14th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 6, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whites Lane, Water Lane, A268 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, Ockley Road, Heartenoak Road and vice versa.
