What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, DA11 0QQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new gas connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Bat & Ball PH.
The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, B261 Old Road West, Windmill Street, Zion Place and vice versa.
Church Road, Ifield, DA13 9AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of pole and cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Ifield, on or after 12th August 2025 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Copthall Road.
The alternative route is via From Junction With Copt Hall Road To Junction With Henhurst Road, Henhurst Road, Church Road and vice versa.
Lynton Road South, Gravesend, DA11 0LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lynton Road South, Gravesend, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 44.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Milton Place, Gravesend, DA12 9GR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To undertake water valve repairs, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Milton Place, Gravesend, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A226 Milton Road.
The alternative route is via A226 Milton Road, A226 Parrock Street, A226 Lord Street, A226 Windmill Street, A226 Woodville Place, A227 Wrotham Road, A226 Rathmore Road, Darnley Road, A226 Darnley Road, A226 Bath Street, A226 West Street, A226 Crooked Lane, A226 The Terrace, The Terrace and Milton Place.
Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, DA12 3JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the installation of power cables for a new supply to a property, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Long Acre.
The alternative route is via Pear Tree Lane, Tanyard Hill, The Street, Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road and vice versa.
Pelham Road, Gravesend, DA11 0JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of water mains repairs, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pelham Road, Gravesend, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 31.
The alternative route is via Pelham Road, Darnley Road, B261 Old Road West and vice versa.
Raphael Road, Gravesend, DA12 2SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of multiway signals on the A226 East Milton Road to replace/repair a fire hydrant, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Raphael Road, Gravesend, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A226 East Milton Road.
The alternative route is via A226 East Milton Road, Elliott Street and vice versa.
