What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

CANTERBURY & DOVER AREAS

 

Grove Road, Preston. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2025

To allow pole testing and tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Grove Road, Preston, from 29th July 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Grove Ferry Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wickham Road, Nargate Street, A257 High Street, A257 Wingham Road, A257 Canterbury Road, A257 High Street, Preston Hill, Preston Road, Preston Lane, The Street, Grove Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
