What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

ASHFORD & SWALE AREAS

 

A251 Ashford Road, Badlesmere & Faversham Road, Challock. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A251 Ashford Road, Badlesmere & Faversham Road, Challock, from 22:00 hours on 3rd August 2025, with estimated completion by 04:00 hours on 4th August 2025, or until the works have been completed.

A251 Ashford Road, Badlesmere will be closed between the junctions with Leaveland and Badlesmere Lees, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A251 Faversham Road, Challock will be closed between the junctions with Broomfield Lane and Pested Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for through traffic is via A251 Ashford Road, M2, A2 Boughton Bypass, A2050 Harbledown Bypass, Rheims Way, A28 Wincheap Green, Wincheap, Thanington Road, Ashford Road, Canterbury Road, A252 Maidstone Road, The Street, Canterbury Road and A251 Faversham Road.

All non-motorway traffic will be escorted through site.
